Technical Control
Technical control is an important part of ensuring that a gaseous fire suppression system has been installed in accordance with the project requirements and the applicable technical specifications.
We inspect system components and field applications and identify visible deficiencies or conditions that may affect system operation. Our technical control activities may include inspection of extinguishing cylinders, manifolds, pipework, nozzles, valves, actuators, detection and release components, and related system interfaces.
Field Inspection and Conformity
During field inspections, the installed system is evaluated against the available project documentation, system configuration and site conditions.
We check the installation of system components and identify observed deviations or deficiencies. The findings can be documented and reported to the relevant project parties for evaluation and corrective action.
Functional Testing
Functional testing is performed to evaluate whether the relevant components and system interfaces operate as intended.
Depending on the system configuration, testing may include detection and alarm signals, release circuits, control panel functions, alarms, shutdown interfaces and other associated functions.
The scope of testing is determined according to the system configuration, project requirements and applicable technical requirements.
Commissioning
Following installation and completion of the required checks, commissioning activities are carried out to support the transition of the system into operational service.
FSS Proje Mühendislik supports commissioning through field inspections, functional testing, verification of system interfaces and documentation of test results.
Room Integrity Testing
For gaseous fire suppression systems, the integrity of the protected enclosure is an important factor in maintaining the extinguishing agent for the required period of time.
Where required, room integrity testing / Door Fan Testing can be performed using Retrotec equipment to evaluate enclosure leakage and estimate retention performance.
Leakage locations can also be investigated using smoke/fog visualization when required.
Reporting
Following technical inspections and testing activities, the findings and test results can be documented in a technical report.
Reports may include test conditions, inspection findings, measured values, functional test results, identified deficiencies and relevant technical observations.
