FSS Proje Mühendislik provides installation, technical inspection, testing and commissioning services for gaseous fire suppression systems. Our services cover a range of gaseous extinguishing agents, including FM-200, FK-5-1-12, IG-01, IG-100, IG-541, IG-55 and CO₂ systems.
We carry out field inspections and functional tests to evaluate the condition and operation of existing systems, and support commissioning processes following installation.
Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems
Gaseous fire suppression systems are designed to protect critical areas and equipment where rapid fire suppression and minimal damage to protected assets are important.
FSS Proje Mühendislik provides technical services for gaseous fire suppression systems using different extinguishing agents according to the characteristics and requirements of the protected area.
Our services include system installation and field application, technical inspection, functional testing and commissioning. Installation works are carried out by experienced teams under technical supervision.
Gaseous Extinguishing Agents
We provide technical services for systems using various gaseous extinguishing agents, including:
- FM-200
- FK-5-1-12
- IG-01
- IG-100
- IG-541
- IG-55
- CO₂
The appropriate system configuration depends on the protected area, equipment, system design and applicable technical requirements.
Installation and Field Application
FSS Proje Mühendislik supports the installation and field application of gaseous fire suppression systems.
Our field activities may include:
- Installation of extinguishing cylinders and cylinder assemblies
- Installation and inspection of distribution pipework
- Inspection of nozzles and discharge pipework
- Inspection of detection and release components
- Field verification of system components
- Functional checks before commissioning
- Support during system commissioning
Installation activities are carried out by experienced installation teams under technical supervision.
Technical Inspection and Functional Testing
Existing gaseous fire suppression systems should be periodically inspected to verify their condition and operational readiness.
Our technical inspection and testing services may include:
- Visual inspection of system components
- Inspection of cylinders and pipework
- Inspection of valves, actuators and nozzles
- Functional testing of the release system
- Inspection and testing of detection and control interfaces
- Verification of system alarms and signals
- Inspection of installation conditions
- Identification and reporting of observed non-conformities
The scope of testing is determined according to the system configuration and site conditions.
Commissioning
Following installation or maintenance activities, gaseous fire suppression systems should be checked before being placed into service.
FSS Proje Mühendislik supports commissioning processes by performing the necessary functional checks, field inspections and system tests.
Test results and identified deficiencies can be documented and reported to the relevant parties.
Cylinder and Hydrostatic Testing
Periodic inspection and testing of extinguishing agent cylinders may be required depending on the cylinder type, applicable regulations and inspection intervals.
FSS Proje Mühendislik does not perform hydrostatic cylinder testing in-house.
When required, cylinder testing and related processes are coordinated with authorized and competent third-party testing organizations.
This allows the cylinder testing process to be carried out by organizations equipped and authorized for the relevant testing procedure.
Room Integrity Testing
The effectiveness of a gaseous fire suppression system depends not only on the extinguishing system itself but also on the ability of the protected enclosure to retain the extinguishing agent.
For this reason, room integrity testing / Door Fan Testing is an important part of evaluating protected enclosures.
FSS Proje Mühendislik performs room integrity tests using Retrotec equipment to assess leakage characteristics and estimate the ability of the enclosure to maintain the required concentration for the specified hold time.
During the test, leakage areas can also be investigated using smoke/fog visualization when required.
For detailed information, see our Room Integrity Test service.
Leak Detection and Visualization
When leakage is suspected during a room integrity test, smoke/fog visualization can be used to help identify the location of air leakage.
The visualization method can help locate leakage around areas such as:
- Door frames and door bottoms
- Cable penetrations
- Cable trays
- Pipe penetrations
- Wall and ceiling junctions
- Dampers and ventilation openings
- Other construction joints and penetrations
Smoke/fog visualization is a supplementary method used to assist leak detection. It does not replace the room integrity test itself.
For detailed information, see our Leak Detection & Visualization service.
Standards and Technical Requirements
Gaseous fire suppression systems and protected enclosures are evaluated according to the applicable project requirements and relevant technical standards.
Depending on the system and application, references may include:
- NFPA 2001
- ISO 14520
- EN 15004
- Applicable manufacturer requirements and project specifications
Testing and inspection procedures are carried out according to the characteristics of the system, protected enclosure and applicable requirements.
Reporting
Following inspection and testing activities, the findings can be documented in a technical report.
Reports may include:
- Test conditions
- Equipment and test method
- Measured values
- Test results
- Observed deficiencies
- Leakage findings where applicable
- Technical observations
- Recommendations where required
Our aim is to provide clear, traceable and technically useful documentation for the customer and relevant project parties.
Our Approach
At FSS Proje Mühendislik, we focus on accurate testing, practical field inspection and clear technical reporting.
Rather than limiting the service to a single test, we evaluate the system and protected area as a whole and communicate observed technical issues clearly to the relevant parties.
