Periodic Inspection & Maintenance
FSS Proje Mühendislik provides periodic inspection and maintenance services for gaseous fire suppression systems to help ensure that systems remain reliable and operational.
Regular inspection and maintenance help identify visible deficiencies, component conditions and operational issues that may affect the performance of the fire suppression system.
Periodic Inspection
Periodic inspections are performed to evaluate the general condition of the gaseous fire suppression system and its components.
Depending on the system configuration, inspection activities may include:
- Extinguishing cylinders and cylinder assemblies
- Valves and actuators
- Manifolds and distribution pipework
- Discharge nozzles
- Detection and release components
- Control panels and system interfaces
- Alarm and indication functions
- General installation conditions
Observed deficiencies and technical findings can be documented in the inspection report.
Functional Testing
Functional testing can be performed as part of the inspection process to evaluate whether the relevant system components and interfaces operate as intended.
Depending on the system configuration, testing may include:
- Alarm functions
- Detection signals
- Release circuits
- Control panel functions
- Shutdown interfaces
- System monitoring signals
- Other associated functions
The scope of testing depends on the system configuration and applicable technical requirements.
Maintenance
Maintenance activities are intended to address identified deficiencies and help maintain the operational condition of the system.
Where maintenance or corrective work is required, the relevant components and conditions are evaluated and the necessary actions are communicated to the customer or responsible project party.
Room Integrity
For gaseous fire suppression systems, the integrity of the protected enclosure is an important factor in maintaining the extinguishing agent for the required period.
Where required, Room Integrity Testing / Door Fan Testing can be performed using Retrotec equipment to evaluate enclosure leakage and retention performance.
Leakage locations can also be investigated using smoke/fog visualization.
See our Room Integrity Test service for more information.
Inspection and Reporting
Following inspection, testing and maintenance activities, the findings can be documented in a technical report.
The report may include:
- Inspection conditions
- System components inspected
- Functional test results
- Identified deficiencies
- Technical observations
- Maintenance findings
- Recommendations where required
Clear reporting helps customers evaluate the current condition of their gaseous fire suppression systems and identify areas requiring attention.
Why Regular Inspection Matters
Regular inspection and maintenance can help identify potential problems before they affect the operation of the fire suppression system.
The condition of system components, installation conditions and associated interfaces may change over time due to environmental conditions, building modifications or maintenance activities.
Periodic inspection provides an opportunity to evaluate these conditions and document any observed changes.
